Amsterdam

Diamond City

Amsterdam has a long history in the diamond trade and industry. The city has been a trading center for the sale of diamonds since the 16th century when the Serphadic Jews established the diamond cutting industry. Today, diamond cutting businesses are found throughout the city and several of them offer tours. These tours are free and usually take place between 9 and 5 during the day. Diamonds are not necessarily cheaper in Amsterdam, but they are reasonably priced. You’ll also have the opportunity to see them be cut and polished. If you do decide to make a purchase, it will come with an extensive description, so you’ll know exactly what you’re getting.
